Reliance Panel, Electronics Manufacturing & Processes Sub-Panel. This
memorandum announces the Electro-Optics Manufacturing Science &
Technology (E-O MS&T) workshop to be held on 2-3 May 1995 at the Night
Vision and Electronics Sensors Directorate (NVESD), Fort Belvoir,
Virginia. The purpose of the workshop is to allow industry, academia
and federal agencies to: 1. Identify critical areas in E-O
Manufacturing that require development in order to support future
defense requirements. 2. Discuss technical approaches to develop these
critical E-O Manufacturing areas. 3. Provide input to the technical
requirements laid out by the Joint Directors of Laboratories (JDL)
Manufacturing Science & Technology Reliance Panel, Electronics
Manufacturing & Processes Sub-Panel. The workshop will be broken into
sub-groups, based on technology area, for a detailed description of the
JDL Roadmaps, presentations and discussion. The areas are: IR Focal
Plane Array Assemblies, Lasers, Micro & Advanced Optics, Fiber Optics,
Opto Electronics, Displays, and Advances in Image Intensification. The
workshop will be controlled unclassified, and restricted to U.S.
Government, their contractors, and individuals authorized access under
the DoD U.S. - Canada Joint Certification Program. The registration
fee is $65 and will cover publications, continental breakfast, and
lunch for the two days. Completed registrations are due NLT 21 April
