This synopsis announces issuance of the DRAFT solicitation for
world-wide aircraft logistics and maintenance Life Cycle Contractor
Support (LCCS) for C-12/UC-12/RC-12/U-21 series aircraft. Support of
approximately 451 aircraft (and any additional, similar aircraft
fielded during the contract period) at approximately 200 sites world
wide is required. A five year contract period, comprised on one base
year and four option years, is planned. The anticipated period of
performance is 1 Oct 96 through 30 Sep 01, with provisions for a
transition period prior to 1 Oct 96. Award may be made to one or more
contractors, based on ``Best Value'' analysis. CONTRACTOR PERFORMANCE
REQUIREMENTS: Maintain an 80% mission capable rate per site for
Army/Navy/Air Force military variants of the commercial Beech 1900C,
King Air, and Super King Air 200; provide comprehensive maintenance and
logistics support for aircraft, including avionics and major
components, according to DEM/FAA/ANSI standards, as applicable; furnish
depot maintenance facilities and furnish all necessary spares, repair
parts, materials, test equipment, peculiar tools, common and peculiar
support equipment (except for specifically identified GFE); store,
control, and issue extensive Government Owned Army U-21 parts
inventory; perform crash damage repair, propeller repair/overhaul,
aircraft depot-level repair/modification/overhaul, and perform
depot-level engine repair/overhaul. Contract performance may require
access to information that will limit or perhaps preclude particiation
