Lockheed Space Operations Company (LSOC), a NASA prime contractor at
Kennedy Space Center (KSC), FL, has a requirement for firms capable of
supplying RPS Survivability Project with the following subsystems: 14
PCM telemetry decommutators, 2 FM digitizers, and 12 digital to analog
converters with infrared touch screen interfaces. Each subsystem is to
be a standalone VME chassis with reflective memory technology for
inter-chassis data transfers, and RS-232, Ethernet, and SCSI-1
interfaces. The RPS Survivability project shall use the VxWorks Real
Time Operating System. Telemetry data rates are not greater than 5 Mbps
and 1 Mhz. Hardware and software are to be integrated and tested by the
vendor to an LSOC-provided specification. RPS provide the classical
ground telemetry station support functions for the STS (Shuttle) at
KSC. Functions include: analog recording and playback of raw
unprocessed data from all PCM and FM data links, selected OIS voice
channels, and range timing for post-test analysis and troubleshooting,
near realtime retrieval of recorded data, evaluation of PCM and FM
signal parameters, processing and displaying selected data, and
re-transmission of data to other areas and equipment for real time and
past test data reduction. General environmental requirements include
storage between 0 and 60 degrees Centigrade. Operating ranges to be 10
to 40 degrees Centigrade. Relative humidity to be 10% to 80%
non-condensing. Indications of interest should be forwarded to reach
LSOC no later than 033095, and should specify RFQ No. RB95-076. Request
should also indicate size and classification of your firm. Direct
correspondence to Lockheed Space Operations Company, P.O. Box 21166,
