scheduled bid opening. The work includes modifications to eight (8)
bulk fuel storage tanks (Tanks 60A, 60B, 60C, 60H, 60I, 60J, 60K AND
60L) at the fuel farm to install high level and high-high level alarms,
and interface with the existing truck/rail unloading pump controls to
prevent overfilling the tanks. This work also includes modifications to
four (4) refueler truck loading lanes (1, 2, 6, 7) at the fuel farm to
provide ground verification, overfill protection, and dead man
controls. This work also includes providing overfill and spill
protection on existing underground storage tanks 37A, 37B, 37C, 606A,
800A, AND 807A. The proposed acquisition listed herein is being
considered for 100% Set-Aside for Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB)
Concerns. Interested SDB Concerns should notify this office in writing,
Attn: Code 0212LR of their intention to bid the project as Prime
Contractor as early as possible but no later than 31 MAR 94. This
notification must include a positive statement of eligibility as a
small socially and economically disadvantaged business concern,
evidence of capacity to obtain required bonds and specific information
which demonstrates the capability to perform projects of this
complexity and magnitude. Complete information concerning management
experience in similar work and financial status should be submitted
with references. If adequate interest is not received from SDB
Concerns, the solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis. In
either event, an amended synopsis will be issued indicating set- aside
decision. Estimated cost is $100,000.00 and $500,000.00. Estimated
