The United States tank-automotive and armaments command (TACOM) is seeking sources for the remanufacture of 938 US Marine Corps light armored vehicle Diesel engines from ''Green'' series configuration. NSN: 2815-01-144-2982; engine, Diesel: 6 cylinder,turbocharged; Detroit Diesel Corp. Mo Del 6V53T) to the ''Silver'' series configuration with GL ow plugs (based on the Saudi Arabian national guard LAV Silver Series Engine, Diesel Div., GM of Canada PN 10555612 with glow plugs added). This effort would occur in the FY96 and FY97 timeframe.
