A -- GASEOUS OXYGEN (GOX) SUPPLY SYSTEM Contact T. D. Christensen. Lockheed Idaho Technologies Company (LITCO), a Management and Operating Contractor for the Department of Energy (DOE) at the Idaho National Engineering Laboratory (INEL), is seeking an expression of interest for the design, supply, and field installation of a Gaseous Oxygen (GOX) supply system. The GOX system will be used to supply oxygen to a Hydrothermal Oxidation (HTO) chemical reactor. Conditions of service for the GOX service include supply of 5-70 SCFM of GOX at between 3500 to 5000 psi (design pressure of the system is 6000 psi). The system will generally consist of a 6000 gallon Liquid Oxygen (LOX) storage tank, a LOX transfer pump, a LOX to GOX vaporizer and high pressure pump, vacuum jacketed LOX piping and valves, GOX accumulator, GOX supply piping and valves, and instrumentation. The subcontractor shall be responsible to perform all design, engineering, analysis, furnish all materials perform all fabrication, and install the system at a remote site at the INEL. After initial installation, the subcontractor will be required to clean the system to stringent NASA-RP-1113 (Design Guide for High Pressure Oxygen Service) standards, and perform a proof of operation test which will include the introduction of LOX into the system, gasification of the LOX, and operation of the system for a period of time to exhibit proper installation and operability. Respondents shall have a minimum of 5 years experience in the design, fabrication, and installation of GOX supply systems.
