Contracting Officer, Ulysses Miller, Jr. Bid Clerk, J.C. Norris, (619)553-4331. Modification: This sole source action will modify and extend contract N66001-94-C-6002 by 12 months. The contract was awarded to Hughes Aircraft Co. on 14 Dec 1993, in response to a Broad Area Announcement to provide software for improved shipboard detection and tracking of missiles using passive infrared. The contractor's proposal was used as the statement of work. One of the tasks, incorporating Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) measurements in the Multiple Hypothesis Tracker (MHT), yielded significant improvement. The developed software is prprietary to Hughes. This modification and extension is based on the need to incorporate the previously developed MHT software into a complete algorithm suite capable of being proted and run real-time on dedicated hardware. Software efforts include generating a near real-time version, providing for the exchange of tracks between simulateously running routines, and adding Interfacing Multiple Model (IMM) capability.
