REMEDIATION Sol. RFA-95-4. Due 042195. Contact Point, Stephen Kovash,
(405) 436-8708. The USEPA, Robert S. Kerr Environmental Research
Laboratory, in Ada, Oklahoma, is seeking assistance by cooperative
agreement with non-profit organizatons (minimum of 5% cost sharing
required) or by interagency agreement with Federal Agencies qualified
to conduct theoretical and mathematical evaluation and analysis on
fluid instabilities at the micropore scale during active aquifer
remdeication with use of surfactants, cosolvents, air, and forms of
energy. The required focus of the proposed project is on the
development of conceptual, mathematical, and numerical and computional
models which can predict the behavior of these remedial fluids at the
micropore scale. Further, the recipient organization will verify the
theoretical and coneceptual processes and evaluate the applicability of
the concepts by comparision with data from laboratory experiments. The
data will be made available through the cooperative research efforts
with RSKERL scientists. The project is anticipated as a two-year
