The Indian Health Service is soliciting sources to provide Physician's Credentials Checks with the prerequisite knowledge, experience, and facilities to provide current and comprehensive data on licensed physicians to ensure that all physicians employed by the Indian Health Service in temporary or permanent positions have valid credentials. Services provided by the credentialing firm must be able to meet Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) approval criteria. Potential sources must be familiar with federal physicians credentialing requirements and be able to respond to a credentials request within five days. (076)
