Mitchell at (612) 290-5763 Principal features of the work consists of, but are not limited to, furnishing all plant, labor, material, and equipment, necessary to perform the following: dredging approximately 150,000 cubic yards of material from portions of Bussey Lake on the Mississippi River near Lock and Dam No. 10, constructing a diked dredged material containment facility with dredge material, rock riprapping, and turf establishment. Miscellaneous incidental related work in strict accordance with the plans and specifications is required. The proposed contract is 100% Set-Aside for Small Business concerns. To be considered small, a firm must perform the dredging of at least 40 percent of the yardage with its own dredging equipment or equipment owned by another small dredging concern. SIC Code 1629, size standard - $13.5 million average annual receipts of the preceding 3 fiscal years. Estimated magnitude of construction in terms of physical characteristics and estimated price range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. This procurement is pursuant to a local cooperative agreement (LCA) between the U.S. Government and the Iowa Dept. of Natural Resources. Plans and specifications are expected to be available approximately April 24, 1995 with opening on or about May 24, 1995.
