Yuen, 808/474-1513 The work includes removal of the existing concrete ring wall (constructed outside of the tank shell), conducting soils investigation below the existing 165' diameter riveted steel tank to determine design of tank foundation; removing the existing tank in its entirety including stairs and appurtenances, replacing washout drain from below tank to the overflow, replacing overflow line, replacing equalization line, replacing nozzle and portions of the inflow/outflow pipe; installing new steel tank with new ring wall and appurtenances, installing new stairs, coatings for all new steel, conducting tests for contaminated and hazardous soil, conducting tests on tank welds, providing cathodic protection system, conducting hydrotest of tank, service and testing requirements of a certified Industrial Hygienist and incidental related work. The solicitation is a performance specification that represents the Government's minimum requirements. The contractor is responsible for and shall provide overall coordination and design of construction details (100% design drawings, shop drawings, etc.) and ensure satisfactory completion of all work covered under this contract. The solicitation utilizes source selection procedures which require offerors to submit a technical and price proposal for evaluation by the Government. The Contractor shall commence 30 calendar days after award and complete the work within 300 calendar days after commencement. Davis-Bacon Act applies to this solicitation. Estimated cost is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Issue date will be on or about 12 April 1995, proposal receipt date approximately 30 calendar days after issue. This procurement is unrestricted.
