GILES, (318)531-2353 Provide approximately 76,000 8 LB bags, 25,000 40 LB bags and 53,700 50 LB bags of crushed ice to various locations on Fort Polk, LA. Contractor shall furnish one (1) mechanically cooled storage house/van with a minimum capacity of storing 30,000 LB of crushed ice in 50 LB bags, one storage house/van (approx. dimensions 8'W x 12'D x 7'H) with a minimum capacity of storing 10,000 LB of crushed ice, and thirty-six (36) mechanically cooled storage bins with a minimum capacity of storing 140 8 LB bags. Award can only be made to a bidder listed in Health Services Command Circular 40- 1 entitled Directory of Sanitarily Approved Food Establishments for Armed Forces Procurement. This is a requirements type contract for a period of 12 MO with two (2) 12 MO option periods. See Note 1. A small business is defined as having 500 or less employees.
