The Fernald Environmental Restoration Management Company (FERMCO), the prime contractor for the Department of Energy's Fernald Environmental Management Project (FEMP) in Fernald, Hamilton County, Ohio is looking for local small businesses, qualified under Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) No. 7353, with a size standard of less than $3.5 million in annual receipts, to provide heavy construction/excavation equipment on an ``as needed basis''. This equipment must be provided on a bare rental basis delivered in ``new or like-new condition'' and must meet all OSHA and NIOSH safety requirements./ Operation Manuals and Annual Inspection Checklists must be provided upon delivery and the equiment must comply with all FEMP Site Safety Requirements. The prospective suppliers must be able to provide various types of equipment including, but not limited to, bulldozers, rollers, compactors, backhoes, lifting equipment, cranes, etc. Suppliers must have the capability to maintain the equipment and provide timely response (within four (4) hours) for equipment repairs.
