Officer, 208/828-2664. The contractor shall furnish all plant, labor,
supplies, equipment, and supervision necessary to Repair Roof Trusses
in Hangars. Work includes unloading 160' wooden bowstring door trusses
of four aircraft hangars, one of the hangars has two door trusses, the
other three have one door truss. With the trusses unloaded, several
members of the truss shall be replaced. Prior to re-loading the truss,
install a tension cable assembly across the lower chord of the
trusses. Tension the cable until the cable lifts the truss off the
jacks. The project also includes tightening of all the bolts on the
remaining trusses of the four hangars plus all the trusses in one
additional hangar. Work will take place on Mountain Home AFB, Idaho.
The total performance period for this project is 240 calender days
after award. The manitude of this project is between $100,000 and
$250,000. Requests for solicitations must be in writing and include
telephone number, zip-code (9-digit) and information as to whether your
organization is a large, small or small disadvantaged business. The
acquisition will be set-aside for SDBs; however, business concerns
other than SDBs are invited to bid. If at time of bid opening, SDB bids
are determined to be more than 10% above the fair market price
(reference DFARS 219.502-2-70(a)(2), this acquisition will be converted
to unrestricted. Interested SDB concerns should notify our office, in
writing, of their intention to bid on the project as a prime contractor
as early as possible, but no later than 12 May 95. This notification
must include a positive statement of eligibility as small socially and
economically disadvantaged business concern, evidence of capacity to
obtain required bonds, and specific information which demonstrates the
capability to perform projects of this complexity and magnitude.
Complete information concerning management experience in similar work
and financial status should be submitted with references. Project
