Provide all labor, material, equipment, transportation, and supervision
necessary for lantern house repairs at Long Point Light and Wood End
Light, Provincetown, MA (Barnstable County). Work for Long Point Light
includes removing lead containing paint, prepping and painting all
cast iron surfaces (800 sq. ft.), fabricating and installing new
parapet door, replace all astragals (10 total), replace storm panes (10
36'' x 27'' x 1/4'' panes), provide and install new parapet railing
system (60 linear feet), replace lightening down conductor, prep, prime
and paint interior wood surfaces (300 sq. ft.), remove 8 gallon PCB
containing transformer, fabricate and install 7' x 1' wooden ladder,
fabricate and install metal locking tab on entrance door, patch
masonary tower paint system (350 sq. ft.) and incidental related work.
Work for Wood End Light includes sand blasting lead containing paint,
prepping and painting all cast iron surfaces (800 sq. ft.), installing
rubber gasket on existing parapet door, replace all astragals (10
total), replace storm panes (10 36'' x 27'' x 1/4'' panes), remove
existing railing system and provide and install new parapet railing
system (60 linear feet), prep, prime and paint interior wood surfaces
(300 sq. ft.), fabricate and install 7' x 1' wooden ladder, fabricate
and install metal locking tab on entrance door, patch masonary tower
paint system (350 sq. ft.) and incidental related work. Estimated cost
of this project is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. Solicitation
packages to be available on or about June 5, 1995. There is a $20.00
non-refundable charge for the bid package which may be obtained by

is exhausted. Bid opening date to be on or about July 5, 1995. This
procurement is unrestricted and is being issued pursuant to the Small
Business Competitiveness Demonstration program. THIS NOTICE IS FOR
INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES FOR MINORITY, WOMAN OWNED, AND DISADVANTAGED
ENTERPRISES: The Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and
Disadvantaged Utilization (OSDBU), has programs to assist minority,
woman-owned, and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short
term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related
contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at
any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply
for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per
contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a
surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT Short
Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts
receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000. For
