Fallica, Contracting Officer, (206) 227-2861, Fax (206) 227-1055 The Federal Aviation Administration has a requirement to purchase electronic components, on a brand name or equal basis, compatible with equipment furnished by Kavouras, Inc., Minneapolis, Minnesota. The items will upgrade system capability at four sites. Offerors bidding equivalent components must demonstrate, prior to contract award, full performance and replacement capability with the brand name items. A demonstration benchmark test may be required. Offerors must submit a technical proposal which shall address such factors as compatibility, reliability, maintainability, and provide a demonstration test plan. Furthermore, there is a mandatory requirement that the specific electronic components be currently available for sale, and have been in production during the last 2 years. Offerors must submit a written request to the Contracting Officer to obtain the solicitation package, which should be available O/A June 5, 1995.
