This project consists of expansion of the Main Post Office, Sugarland, Texas which includes new concrete and asphalt paving; landscaping, expansion of the workroom and box lobby areas which includes new concrete foundation, structural steel, built-up roofing with the possibility of some asbestos removal; prefinished metal exterior, flooring, painting, gypsum board walls, ceiling, lighting, electrical and HVAC. Site utility work is also included. Estimated cost range $900,000 - $1,000,000 and construction time is 180 calendar days. Successful offeror must submit their Subcontracting Plan for Small and Minority-Owned, and Woman-Owned Business initially and thereafter with their progress payment requests. The contractor must subcontract with minority business firms in an amount aggregating not less than 10% of the total value of its subcontracts. A 20% proposal bond is required on all proposals. The successful contractor will be required to provide 100% Performance and 50% Payment Bonds. Offers will be received in this office, prior to, but not later than 3:30 p.m. on June 27, 1995. Proposal documents, plans and specifications will be available on May 25, 1995 at a cost of $25.00 per set (NON-REFUNDABLE) payable by check or money order only.
