The oil skimmer shall be suited for cleanup of small (less than 1,000 gallon) oil spills in harbors, lakes, rivers and sounds. The Oil Skimmer shall be self- propelled and capable of recovering, storing and off-loading spilled oil. Offerors may propose various types of oil recovery systems, subject to government evaluation and acceptance. The combined weight of the oil skimmer and trailer shall not exceed 10,000 pounds; the combination shall be towable on a standard 3/4 ton load capacity pickup truck. Items to be ordered under firm fixed price type contract. Base quantity twenty five (25) each, two options of ten (10) each, First Article Unit, First Article Test, Operators Manual, and Engineering Drawings.
