The thinning units are on Prince of Wales Island, approximately 32 air miles north of Craig, Alaska and about 31 air miles northwest of Thorne Bay, Alaska. The units are approximately 50 road miles from Craig, approximately 42 road miles from Thorne Bay, and about 4 miles from Naukati, Alaska.
