Bender, (415)617-2671 Second Notice - VA Palo Alto Health Care System, Palo Alto, California is seeking qualified, responsible sources for Laundry Services at the Palo Alto Division of the Health Care System. The services are to be Contractor-Owned and Contractor-Operated (COCO). The laundry/linen service provided at the Medical Center is generated from VAMC Palo Alto/Memlo Park, VAMC Livermore, VAMC San Francisco, Northern California System of Clinics (NCSC), Pleasant Hill, Park Reserve Forces Training Area, Dublin and Ft. Lewis Sub-Installation, The Presidio of San Francisco, CAlifornia. The work required consists of furnishing all labor, supervision, management, supplies, ancillary equipment and material necessary for accomplishment of complete laundry services. The estimated total annual pounds of mexed hospital linens is 7,000,000 pounds. This synopsis is published to determine availability of commercial laundry services for the requirements of VA Palo Alto Health Care System, Palo Alto, California in a requirements contract for one year with the option for four annual contract renewals. Concerns that respond should furnish detailed information concerning their capabilities and request a copy of the solicitation if and when it becomes available as a formal solicitation for services. Solicitation will be subject to Government Cost Comparison under the purview of OMB Circular No. A-76 to determine feasibility of accomplishing specific work in house or outside. Contract award will depend upon outcome of cost comparison. Interested commercial firms must respond in writing no later than July 12, 1995 and reference Solicitation 640-23-95.
