Norfolk Detachment Washington, has a requirement for the Norfolk Naval
Shipyard Detachment to procure a portable transient analyzer. The
equipment shall consist of, but is not limited to the following
principle components, attachments and accessories: a not less than
seven input board cabinet transportable mainframe, three transient
analyzer digitizing boards, transient analyzer triggering board. The
mainframe shall support the capability of complete computer control
through a GPIB interface and supplied GPIB cable using an IEEE 488.2
command set. The mainframe shall be provided with sufficient CPU to be
capable of performing calculations with wave form information provided
by either the digitizer boards or the computer or both. Software shall
be provided to handle the transfer of information between the
mainframe and the computer, as well as, between the main frame and the
boards. Sizes and capacities are as follows: Mainframe size
(approximate) 12'' x 18'' x 24'', Weight - with all digitizer boards
installed (approximate) 90 lbs., Digitizing Boards Channel record
length (adjustable) 10-256k words, Memory 256k bytes of 16 bits,
Digitizing and storage speed 1 million samples per second, Amplifier
range 30 mV full scale to 12 V full scale in 5 incremental steps. The
Government may opt to purchase interface software for the analyzer
within this procurement. Anticipated destination: Carderock, Maryland.
