BASILE, Contracting Officer Storm Water Monitoring Equipment and Appurtenances for PWC, Pearl Harbor, PMRF, Kauai and Guam. Each monitoring system shall monitor rainfall, measure flow, take first grab and composite samples, record the required parameters of a storm. Each monitoring system shall consist of a rain gauge, flow meter, automatic sampler(s), computer software, power source(s) and appurtenances. Rain gauge shall measure on-site rainfall and signal the flow meter after every 0.1 inch of rainfall. Flow meter shall record the rainfall amount, measure the runoff water level in the storm water system and convert the level into a flow rate. The flow meter shall also activate the sampler(s) once required conditions are met. The sampler(s) shall collect water samples by pumping the runoff water into bottles located inside the sampler(s). The monitoring system shall be capable of down- loading data from the flow meter to a portable (notebook) computer or via telephone using a modem. The integrated monitoring system and appurtenances shall be specifically adapted for storm water runoff monitoring.
