Sought/Notice of Intent to Negotiate with One Source. The proposed
contract action is for services for which the Government intends to
solicit and negotiate with Intergraph Corporation, unless as a result
of an analysis of acceptable responses to this notice a determination
is made by the Government to issue a competitive solicitation. The
Sacramento District Corps of Engineers, is seeking to identify sources
that can provide the following services: The contractor is required to
provide hardware maintenance for the following equipment: InterPro 6040
and 2020 workstations, InterServe 2000 and 6105 servers, dual and
single screen configurations with 19'' and 27'' monitors, a Write Once
Read Many optical jukebox, an Anatech 3640 scanner, 2 laser printers,
36x48 digitizer board, various PEM boxes including: external hard
drives, tape drives, CD-ROM, and digitizer controller, and a
stand-alone 9-track tape drive. All hardware calls will be responded to
in 4-hours with repairs or replacement of parts accomplished in the
same day or during the next working day. Maintenance to include all
parts and labor. Software includes: Iras 32, I/Geovec, Fortran and C
Compilers, I/Scan, HPGL and IGDS and Raster Meta File Interpreter,
Inroads, InterPlot, MicasPlus, Modelview, several packages in the MGE
product line, NFS, RIS products, plotter drivers and systems software
(CLIX, tcpip, etc.). All software upgrades will be included as a part
of the yearly cost of the contract. The government acknowledges
Intergraph's right to provide only one copy of documentation for each
software application license. These documents will be provided as a
part of this contract. In the event the CADD System Manager requires
extra copies of documentation, the government will pay the prevailing
rate for such copies and shall receive the same rate as Intergraph's
most-valued customer. This contract shall provide at least 10 hours per
day of phone support for software problems. Contract will be Base Year
and 4 Option Years. All interested persons may identify their interest
and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. Oral
or facsimile responses will not be accepted. Information furnished as
a minimum should include appropriate technical and pricing
information. Information submitted should be pertinent and specific in
the tech area under consideration. Any other specific and pertinent
information as pertains to this particular area of procurement that
would enhance our consideration and evaluation of the information
submitted. All responding firms are to indicate whether they are a
large or small business under SIC code 7378. This notice of intent is
not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals
received within forty-five days after date of publication of this
synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the
Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses
to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
Information will normally be considered solely for the purpose of
