Pursuant to the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(i) and FAR 6.302-1, the Government intends to negotiate a contract with Paraflite, 5800 Magnolia Avenue, Pennsauken, NJ 08109 for seventeen MC-5 nylon mil 2-2-5625, harness type, part number 8102000X, 29 components, color grey/green parachutes. Paraflite is the only known designer, developer and sole producer of the MC-5 parachutes and as such, the solicitation will be issued on a sole source basis only to Paraflite. No other type of parachute will satisfy agency requirement. All responsible sources may request a solicitation package. All proposals meeting the solicitation requirements will be considered. RFP will be available approximately fifteen days from the date of appearance in this publication. No telephone requests. Only written requests received directly from the requestor are acceptable.
