Y -- US POSTAL SERVICE IS ISSUING REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS TO PREQUALIFIED CONTRACTORS FOR DESIGN/BUILD OF THE GREENVILLE, NC P&DC ANNEX Sol 415046-95-A-0457. Due 072895. The Postal Service is issuing Request for Proposals for the design/build of the Processing and Distribution Center Annex, Fairforest Way, Greenville, SC. The scope of work is a one-story 58,000 gsf facility plus approximately 2,000 gsf of an elevated lookout gallery on a USPS controlled site to be acquired prior to construction award. Design is to be developed in accordance with all national and local codes, including local governments, USPS designs and guidelines and details. Exterior walls shall be tilt-up concrete construction. A sprinkler and fire alarm system are required. HVAC shall consist of rooftop package units. Structural steel shall be capable of supporting the lookout gallery system, column mounted equipment, and a built-up roof system. No structurally suspended fixed mechanization system is planned. All utilities will be provided by others to the site within 90 days of construction completion. Construction will be completed within 225 calendar days of construction award. The construction cost is valued between $3,000,000.00 and $3,500,000.00.
