Y -- IMPROVE FAMILY HOUSING - PHASE I, GRAND FORKS AFB, NORTH DAKOTA SOL DACA45-95-B-0092 DUE 082995 POC Contact Contracting Division at: (402)221-4266. The work will include the following: (Approx. quantities) Demolition and removal from site 75 duplex units (relocatable type military housing units). Units will become the property of the Contractor. Demolish and remove approx 150 garages and out buildings along with street curb and gutter, driveways, existing utilities and removal of 2 block long streets. Construct 146 new 2 and/or 4 unit building houses. Units are 2 story with full basements and attached garages, wood construction with vinyl-siding, asphalt roofs, subdrain system, smoke detectors, standard electric, forced-air HVAC, and wood decks. Also included all driveways, sidewalks, landscape, seeding, sodding, site electrical distribution, water and sewer extensions, street lights, and new 2 block long street. The estimated construction cost of this project is between $10,000,000 and $15,000,000. Contractor's Quality Control will be a requirement in this contract. The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the work 700 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. Bid sets will be available on/a July 25, 1995. Half-size plans and specifications will be furnished upon request. All requests for solicitation packages should be made in writing no later than 14 days prior to bid opening. After such time, packages will be furnished if supply is available. It has been determined that the number of sets be limited to 1 (one) per firm (additional copies will be the responsibility of the requestor). SPECIAL NOTES: All responders are advised that this requirement may be cancelled or revised at any time during the solicitation, selection, selection evaluation, negotiation and/or final award structure and disposition of US Armed Forces.
