The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, California, intends to procure on an other than full and open competition basis for the following VME Microsystems International digital, analog, and I/O boards: P/N VMIVME-1111-010, 64-Bit Digital Input Card 6 Each, P/N VMIVME-4900-224, Digital to Synchro Converter Card 3 each, P/N VMIVME 4500A-100, 16 Channel Analog I/O Card 7 each, P/N VMIVME-2232-000, 32 Channel Relay Card 19 each, P/N VMIVME-3100-410, 12-Bit Analog to Digital Converter Board 2 each, P/N VMIVME-2532A-030, 32-Bit Digital I/O Board 1 each, P/N VMIVME-Repeat M, VMEbus Repeater Master 2 each, P/N VMIVME-Repeat S, VME Bus Repeater Slave, 2 each. Negotiations will be conducted with VME Microsystems International Corporation and/or distributors of VME Microsystems International. The above listed equipment is a Switch Interface System which will replace a C-Series interface system and will be required to interface with other existing equipment which includes VME Microsystem backplanes and I/O card interface equipment. These backplanes and I/O card interface circuits are proprietary to VME Microsystem. Any replacement system must provide interfacing for a variety of signals between the operator console, break out unit, avionics benches, and Avionicss Laboratory Integration Device. This requires interfacing for all analog, digital, synchro and frequency signals which must be passed between hardware components. The government has developed an extensive set of control software for this working environment in various laboratories. The replacement system must maintain compatibility with hardware and software currently in use and allow re-use of government-owned Versa Module Europa (VME) and laboratory support software. VME Microsystems is the only known source whose whose equipment is 100% hardware and software compatible with existing laboratory equipment.
