Pre-Solicitation: The work includes the relamping of all flourescent fixtures in the first floor library area, t he photographic area, and the first and second floors of wings ''A'', ''B'', and ''D'' (exclusive of all hallways) of Building 10 at the Natioanl Institute of Health (NIH). This work involves the removal and disposal of existing fluorescent lampsna and ballasts, the proper disposal of and ballasts containing PCBs, relamping of fixtures, cleaning of fixtures, replacment of a few broken lenses and incidental related work. Estimated Cost Range is between $100,000 and $250,000. The Standard Industrial Code is 1731. The related Small Business Size Standard is $7 million. The proposed contract listed here is being considered 100% set-aside for Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) Concerns. Interested SDB Concerns should provide in writing to the Contracting Officer as early as possible, but not later than 15 days after receipt of this notice, specifically: 1) a list of references past and present government/commercial contracts, similar to the work described in this notice, which includes the contract number, title of contract, dollar value, name of person to contact, and telephone number, 2) a positive statement of self certification as a SDB Concern, and 3) a statement of capability to obtain the required bonds. If adequate interest is not received from SDB Concerns, the solicitation with be issued on an unrestricted basis and another notice will be issued. Therefore, replies to this office are requested from all interested business as well as SDB Concerns. The Bid Opening Date is on or about 31 August 1995.
