This is a notice of intent to issue a Request for Proposal M67400-95-R-A006 on a sole source basis to GE Yokogawa Medical System, Ltd., of Okinawa, Japan. The proposed procurement is for maintenance and repair services for a government-owned GE angiography system, model Advantx 19099. The Regional Contracting Office anticipates issuing a firm fixed price contract consisting of a base year with option to renew for four (4) additional years. The statutory authority for Other Than Full and Open Competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), Only One Responsible Source. Any other Interested firms desiring consideration must prepare a written proposal that clearly demonstrates their ability to provide all technicians, supervision, management, service contacts, diagnosis testing equipment, and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) standard parts. The proposal shall clearly state how the contractor intends to perform the services on Okinawa, Japan during the principal period of maintenance Monday through Friday from 9:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. The contractor's technicians shall be trained and certified by the GE Medical Program or equivalent program and have a minimum of two years of hand-on experience on thissystem or a comparable system. All interested firms must submit their written proposal within 15 days after the publication of this notice to the Regional Contracting Office (Far East), PSC 557 P.O. Box 2000, FPO AP 9637-2000.
