Provide library services necessary to enter approximately thirty thousand (30,000) entries into OCLC and the local online catalog. These entries are partial holdings of an index to literature of African Art and culture, now housed on cards. This card index provides in-depth analytic indexing to relevant materials including pamphlets, journal articles, illustrations, chapters in books and conference proceedings. These entries require coding in the MARC format, keying into OCLC and electronically transferring into SIL's local system, SIRIS (Smithsonian Institution Research Information System). Subject access is provided by combining the most appropriate terminology from the Library of Congress Subject Headings (LCSH) with the terminology of the Art and Architecture Thesaurus (AAT). It is anticipated that services will be off-site. Contract period of performance is 1 year base period plus 2 option years. All repossible sources may submit an Offer which will be considered.
