Convert existing steamboilers to hot water type, replace boilers as indicated in plans and specifications. Minor patching and painting where required, piping and associated electrical work. Asbestos removal is required for the boilers insulation and mudded pipe joints of the steam and condenstate lines to be removed. The heating units to be replaced are located in Bldgs 7024, 7632, and 7832, all located at Fort Riley, Kansas. A Firm-Fixed price construction contract will be awarded. The period of Performance is 360 Calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. The magnitude of the project is $500,000.00 to $1,000,000.00. This solicitation will be issued on or about 21 July 1995. Bids will be opened on or about 15 September 1995 at 2:00 pm, local time. SIC Code: 1711 (Plumbing, Heating, and Air conditioning). Small business size standard is average annual receipts of a concern and its affiliates over the preceding three fiscal years must not exceed $7 million.
