Z -- SPRINKLER SYSTEM BLDG. 1 SOL 558-90-95 DUE 082595 POC Contact Point, LaRetta Sauls-Johnson, (919)286-6914x6446 Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment and supervision necessary for the installation of an approved automatic sprinkler system in areas of Building #1 of the VA Medical Center, Durham, North Carolina. Work includes but not limited to the following: rework exisiting sprinklered areas to meet code and install new sprinkler systems in areas without such proctection; installation of a new fire pump and associated electrical needs (high voltage and low voltage); programming of exisiting fire alarm system; patching, painting and replacing ceiling tile and grid where necessary to restore all construction areas to original appearances. All work to be performed must meet all National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), National Electric Code (NEC), Underwriters Laboratory, Inc. (UL), and JCAHO standards and guidelines. All work to be accomplished in strict accordance with the contract specifications and drawings, which will be aval. o/a 7/24/95. Bid opening date will be 30 days after issue of drawings and specs. SIC Code (1711). Contract performance will be for a period fo 365 days. This solicitation is unrestricted and available for full and open competition. Bid packages will be issued to Prime contractors only, and will be distributred on a first come first serve basis.
