Work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, materials and supervision necessary to complete a construction project to add to the existing Survival Equipment Shop. All work is to be performed at McChord AFB, WA. Work includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1) Site work including clearing, excavation, asphalt concrete paving, and asbestos abatement; 2) Construction of a 1,899 SF addition to include concrete unit masonry, metal framing, built-up roof, aluminum windows, overhead rolling doors, vinyl flooring, plumbing, HVAC, interior and exterior lighting, power and telecommunication distribution system, and a fire alarm system. The magnitude of construction is between $250,000 and $500,000. The period of performance is 200 calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed. Solicitation is expected to issue on or about 17 July 95, with a bid opening date projected to be 16 August 95. The proposed contract is being considered as a 100% set-aside for Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) concerns; interested SDB concerns should, as early as possible, but no later than ten (10) days after the date of this notice, indicate interest in the acquisition by providing to the contracting office evidence of capability to perform and a positive statement of eligibility as an SDB concern. If adequate interest is not received from SDB concerns, the solicitation will be issued unrestricted without further notice. There is a $35.34 non-refundable charge for each bid set. Payment in the form of a company check, certified cashier's check, or U.S. Postal Money Order made payable to the ``Department of the Air Force'' must accompany each request. Personal checks and cash will not be accepted. All requests for bid sets must be in writing. Telephone and fax requests will not be honored. (178)
