Provide all supervision, plant, labor, materials, equipment, and appliances necessary to perform all operations in connection with the removal of PCB fluorescent fixtures at the Binghamton USARC, Binghamton, New York. The work to be performed will include, but is not limited to the following items: remove four-tube and two-tube fluorescent fixtures located throughout the building on the first and second floors; dispose of the ballasts and fluorescent tubes from the removed fixtures as hazardous waste; ballasts that are found to be labelled as not containing PCBs shall be disposed of separately from those containing PCBs; remove incandescent fixtures located throughout the building on the first and second floors; provide new energy-efficient fluorescent fixtures throughout the building; in areas where the existing fixtures are controlled by pull-chain switches mounted on the fixtures, provide new wall switches for the new fixtures; remove incandescent exterior lights and provide new high-pressure sodium exterior lights. Solicitation is to be issued o/a 15 Jul 95. This acquisition is valued between $100,000 and $250,000 and is an unrestrited procurement.
