This project consists of the reconstruction of the road fill at a stream side location by constructing a gabion retaining wall in two locations and constructing a gabion buttress for the cutslope. The project includes pumping the creek, at one work area, to bypass the excavation and relaying road surfacing in both the reconstructed segments. The desired start work date is September 1, 1995. Government estimate is between $25,000 and $100,000. Bonding is required. The project is located on the Wallowa Valley District, Wallowa-Whitman National Forest, Wallowa County, Oregon. (178)
