Williams, Purchasing Specialist, 901/747-7655. The project consists of
furnishing manpower, labor, equipment, materials, supplies, and
supervision needed to Replace Towconveyor Concrete at the Seattle Bulk
Mail Center, 34301 9th Avenue, South, Federal Way, Washington
98003-6721. A Preproposal Conference is schedule for July 13, 1995 at
10:00 A.M. at the front entrance of the Seattle Bulk Mail Center. The
Scope of Work (SOW) includes the repair of worn concrete along the tow
conveyor paths, removal of existing lead based paint along the same
paths and repainting/recoating. All work must be ready to accept
traffic at end of each work shift. Tow conveyor will be passing over
finished concrete work immediately after each contractor work shift is
completed. Strict quality control and environmental requirements will
be enforced. Contractor shall comply with all applicable environmental
regulations and agencies regarding the removal of lead paint. The SOW
is further defined in the plans and specifications. A list of
comparable project experience, completed within the last four (4) years
of similar size, cost and scope, shall be submitted with proposal. The
reference list is to include a Contact Person and Telephone number.
(A.) Working hours will be strictly limited as noted below and further
described in Specification Section 1500, 1.3: (1.) Loop 1: 1400
Saturday to 0600 Sunday, (2.) Loop 2: 0100 to 0900 Monday through
Friday, (3.) Loop 3: 0100 to 0900 Monday through Friday, (4.) Loop 4:
2400 Monday to 0800 Monday, (5.) Spurs: 0100 to 0900 Monday through
Friday, (6.) By-Passes: 0100 to 0900 Monday through Friday. (B.) During
shutdowns, the entire loop, spur, or by-pass will be available to the
Contractor. (If offerors propose a brand other than Bio-Grad 190, refer
to Clause J.8. and K.6. of the General Provisions. The estimated cost
range is between $330,000 and $375,000. Site visits may be scheduled by
appointment only. To schedule a site visit, contact Ms. Mary Lee,
Facilities Engineer at 206/874-7288. Cost of the plans and
specifications for this project is $25 per set, nonrefundable. Be sure
to reference the subject solicitation number on your request. If you
desire plans for this project, please send your request, along with
your fee remittance made payable to the USPS Disbursing Officer,
addressed to the United States Postal Service, Facilities Service
Office, Attention Rita Williams, 225 N. Humphreys Blvd., Fourth Floor,
