Z -- SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION OF BASE ENGINEERING REQUIREMENTS (SABER). SOL F28609-95-R0004. DUE 100395. Contact Linda Williams, Contract Specialist at 609-724-4408. Simplified Acquisition of Base Engineering Requiremets (SABER), an indefinite-quantity, indefinite delivery construction contract for the period 31 Jan 96 through 30 Jan 97 with four (4) one-year option periods. Maximum contract value will be $10,000,000 per contract year. Minimum guaranteed amount will be $500,000 per contract year. This solicitation is for a broad range of maintenance, repair and minor construction. The contractor must furnish noncomplex design, materials, equipment and personnel necessary to manage and accomplish projects ranging from $2,000 to $200,000. The contractor will be required to maintain a management office on McGuire AFB in order to receive delivery orders and provide other management services related to accomplishing individual projects. The contractor will be required to provide computer hardware required for the SABER program as well as computer software necessary to run the program. Projects will include tasks in a variety of trades including but not limited to, site work, concrete, masonry, metals, wood and plastics, thermal and moisture protection, doors and windows, finishes, specialties, equipment, special construction, conveying systems, mechanical, electrical, and abatement of hazardous materials. The contractor must have the ability to accomplish a complete design from a simple statement of work utilizing Auto Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings. The contractor must be bondable for the full amount of the contract year ($10,000,000). Proposals will be evaluated using Source Selection Procedures for Other than Major Acquisitions.
