The intent of this project is to repair HVAC deficiences and upgrade fire protection/detection systems in Bldg 1900, Hanscom AFB, MA. The principal items of work include but are not limited to: removal and disposal of existing heat pumps, duct work, controls and thermostats; materials and labor for installation of new heat pumps, duct work, Johnson Controls, thermostats and power panel; removal disposal, and replacement of ceiling tiles ceiling grid; materials and labor to provide full sprinkler heads, piping and fire alarm system connections; materials and labor to provide new below valves, excavation, backfill, and repair of damaged (lawn and paved) areas; materials and labor for installation of a gas/oil dual fuel conversion package on the existing oil fired steam boiler; materials and labor to modify intake piping at the existing circulating pumps in the boiler room; materials and labor for installation of fire alarm pull stations, exit lights, and assiciated connection to existing life safety systems; materials and labor for removal of existing ceiling plenum heat detectors and installlation of new plenum smoke detectors, including control wiring modifications. The period of performance on this project is 180 days. The magnitude of this project is between is 500k and 1m.
