Synopsis Number - 4048-95 -- It is the Government's intent to acquire
on a sole source basis from Alabama Natural Heritage Program services
related to the monitoring of threatened plant populations. Alabama
Natural Heritage Program successfully completed a three year survey of
Redstone Arsenal for threatened and endangered species and were
responsible for identifying and mapping plant populations that require
monitoring. The following services are required: Monitor threatened
plant populations identified on Redstone Arsenal, AL; initiate pilot
sampling of Apios priceana and Trillium pusillum populations and
conduct statistical analysis to develop appropriate sampling design,
based on species biology, nature of habitat, and spatial distribution
of the population; data collected shall be adequate to provide a
benchmark for assessing future management strategies or impacts on
subject populations, and to detect population trends. FOB DESTINATION.
