954-7736 The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement
for overhaul/repair services of an estimated annual quantity of 15 each
Test Set Sub Assemblies (Oscillators), NSN 6665-01-319-8306,
Watkins-Johnson P/N WJ-2856-11. Units shall be overhauled/repaired in
accordance with the original manufacturer's specifications, FAA
Standard FAA-STD-013D, and FAA-STD-1293B. An Indefinite
Delivery/Requirements contract is contemplated which will include
option provisions to renew for four (4) additional 1-year periods. The
FOB point is destination. Final test/inspection and acceptance will be
at destination. Routine repairs to be accomplished at the rate of 1 to
2 within 30 days from date of receipt of reparable unit(s). Priority
repairs to be accomplished within 3 working days from date of receipt
of reparable unit(s). The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code
is 3674. The proposed contract will include FAR 52.217-8, Option to
Extend Services and FAR 52.217-9, Option to Extend the Term of the
Contract. These services are only known to be available from
Watkins-Johnson, 3333 Hillview Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 95066, because
they maintain proprietary rights to the development, design, and test
data and the Government lacks technical data, plans, drawings,
specifications, or other documentation required for full and open
competition. Other concerns having the ability to furnish the above
property/services are requested to give written notification (including
the name and telephone number of a point of contact) to the procuring
office listed in this notice, with reference made to market survey file
# 80-60222, within 45 calendar days from the date of this publication.
Responses should provide information regarding the ability of your
concern to satisfy the Government's requirement. All responses to this
market survey will be considered prior to further acquisition action
by the Government. Any information received as a result of this
announcement will not be provided to other contractors and will
normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to
conduct a competitive procurement. The final determination by the
Government not to open this requirement to competition, based on any
information provided, is solely within the discretion of the
