58 -- NEW ATTACK SUBMARINE (NSSN) COMMAND, CONTROL, COMMUNICATIONS AND INTELLIGENCE (C3I) SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT SOL N00024-95-R-6541 POC SEA 02624, D. Weaver, (703) 602-7703. The Navy has a requirement for the New Attack Submarine (NSSN) Command, Control, Communications and Intelligence (C3I) System Development and plans to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) on August 1, 1995. The RFP will include requirements for development of the NSSN C3I Sonar, Combat Control and Architecture subsystems including engineering development models and associated data and documentation. Additionally, the RFP will include requirements for related engineering services and Provisioned Items, and will include options for long lead materials and production subsystems. The Navy plans to require proposals 45 days after issuance of the RFP. A bidder's list has been established based on industry response to Special Notices previously published in the CBD on June 14, 1995 and June 19, 1995. In order to enhance contracting and subcontracting opportunities, the bidder's list has been posted on the INTERNET using the filename ''C3I BIDDERS LIST''. Additionally, a draft of Section M of the RFP has been posted on the INTERNET using the filename ''C3I DRAFT SECTION M''. The Navy intends to post the unclassified portions of the RFP which are available electronically on the INTERNET using the RFP number cited above. Contractors can access the NAVSEA server through an FTP session using host address FTP.NAVSEA.NAVY.MIL. Contractors must use the word contract for both login and password to access this bulletin board. Once logged in, Contractors should go to the file area PUB\CONTRACTS and search for the appropriate filename. The file(s) can be downloaded, BINARY mode must be used in lieu of ASCII when copying files. A limited number of hardcopies will be available. A single hard copy of the unclassified portions of these documents will be maintained for viewing in the NAVSEA Industry Liaison Office, Room 5E40 in the Zachary Taylor Building (National Center #3), 2531 Jefferson Davis Highway, Arlington, Virginia.
