Reference CBD Issue No. PSA-1036 dated February 17, 1994: The closing date for receipt of proposals for RFP 741 to provide Inpatient/Outpatient Hospital Services has been extended to September 30, 1995. The Indian Health Service (IHS) is soliciting proposals from hospitals located in Arizona, California, Nevada and Utah to provide all necessary resources, personnel, drugs, supplies, equipment and facilities for complete emergency, urgent and elective inpatient/outpatient hospital services. Services may include, but is not necessarily limited to medial and allied services in the field of medicine including: general and specialized medicine; general and specialized surgery; obstetrics and gynecology; orthopedics; neurosurgery; neonatology; ophthalmology; otolaryngology and pediatrics, as defined by the specialty board in each field. Services to be provided to eligible Indian beneficiaries referred by the IHS Area Offices of Albuquerque, NM; Navajo, Phoenix and Tucson, Arizona. Contract awards will be made to those hospitals who agree to accept as payment in full, reimbursement at rates no higher than the prevailing Medicare allowable rates (including deductibles and co-payment). This is in accordance with the IHS Payment Policy entitled ``Reimbursement Rates for Health Care Services Authorized Under the Indian Health Service Contract Health Regulations'' published in the Federal Register on June 30, 1986. Multiple awards will be made for a twelve month period, with 4-one year options. RFP 741 may be obtained by requesting to the above address.
