The U.S. Army Engineer Division, Huntsville, intends to procure an Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) for New Brooke Army Medical Center (NBAMC), San Antonio, Texas. The ASRS to be procured under this contract will provide efficient labeling, tracking routing, and slotting of medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, records, and linen at NBAMC. The slotting will consist of one time move slotting, and ongoing planning and dynamic slotting maintenance. It is the intent of the Government to obtain an efficient integrated ASRS package from a single vendor. The vendor shall provide all components itemized in the contract including inventory management software and hardware, automated equipment, controls, system interfacing with new and existing systems, system checkout and startup, system documentation and training. All software supplied by the vendor must interface with the existing NBAMC software. The ASRS requirements apply to the Material Distribution Service (MDS), Linen Service, Outpatient Medical Records, Inpatient Pharmacy and Outpatient Pharmacy. The solicitation will be issued on or before 1 Aug 95 and close on or before 3 Sep 95, with delivery and installation to be completed by 1 Nov 95. The applicable Standard Industrial Code is 3535. For the purpose of this solicitation, business concerns with less than 500 employees are considered a small business. Prospective offerors must furnish business size when requesting the solicitation.
