include, but is not limited to, the removal of thirty-one (31)
underground fuel storage tanks and related equipment. In addition, this
project will include the following: removal of one underground concrete
oil-water separator and related equipment; removal of four (4)
underground oil interceptors and related drainage piping and equipment;
removal of nine (9) aboveground fuel storage tanks and related
equipment; removal of eight (8) aboveground fuel storage tanks and
related equipment; transport and securing of potentially contaminated
soil to soil stockpile areas and backfilling of excavations left after
tank removal; clearing, grubbing and earthwork for new structures,
pavements and utilities; installation of twenty (20) aboveground fuel
storage tanks (seventeen (17) for fuel oil No. 2 and three (3) for
diesel fuel) and related piping with secondary containment systems,
electronic leak detection and gauging systems, reinforced concrete
slabs, suction pumps, daytanks and appurtenances; install one (1)
underground double wall oil-water separator and related electronic leak
detection and level sensing system, drainage piping with secondary
containment, reinforced concrete slabs and appurtenances; install three
(3) underground double wall interceptor tanks and related electronic
leak detection and level sensing systems, drainage piping with
secondary containment, reinforced concrete slabs and appurtenances. The
Contractor shall also furnish and plant evergreen shrubs; remove
existing Tank Nos. 33, 45, 46, 49, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, and 56,
including all piping and appurtenances; furnish and install new Tank
Nos. 73, 74, and 93, including all piping and appurtenances; furnish
and install fuel piping, daytank, suction pump and appurtenances in
building #206; remove existing oil interceptors Nos. 30, 31, 32, and
70, waste oil Tank No. 29, oil-water separator No. 69, and solvent Tank
No. 64 including all piping and appurtenances; furnish and install new
oil-water separator No. 80 and interceptor Tank Nos. 84, 86, and 89
including all piping and appurtenances; remove existing Tank No. 57,
including all piping and appurtenances; remove tank Nos. 25 and 26,
including all piping and appurtenances; and test all systems and site
restoration. The work will be completed at the New York Air National
Guard Base at Westhampton Beach, New York. The proposed project
magnitude is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. IFB #DAHA30-95-B-0014
will be issued on 14 August 1995, with a bid opening date on 15
September 1995. The performance time for this project will be 180
calendar days. This is not a set-aside solicitation, however, please
