16 -- COMPONENT FATIQUE STUDY FOR EXECUTIVE HELICOPTER SOL N00019-92-G-0196 POC Contact, RANDALL COHEN, Phone (703)604-2000 The Naval Air Systems Command intends to negotiate a contract with Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation to perform fatigue testing on the tail rotor flapping pin and main rotor rotating scissions upper and lower brackets of the VH-3 aircraft. In addition, Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation will conduct component retirement time analysis for critical life components of the VH-3D aircraft. These items constitute follow-up effort to an existing performance improvement program for which Sikorsky Aircraft is presently under contract. Sikorsky Aircraft Company is the designer, developer, and manufacturer of the VH-3D aircraft and is the only known company capable of performing the required analysis in a timely and effective manner. - NAVAIR Synopsis No. 50106-95.
