Code DABT10) The Directorate of Combat Development, U.S. Army Infantry
School, Fort Benning, GA, is seeking prospective sources for an
extremely light weight boot as a potential replacement for the current
speed lace combat boot (SLCB). General characteristics for the boot
are: water resistant, running shoe comfort, durable, low maintenance,
easy on and off, flexible, and less than 2 1/2 pounds in weight per
pair in size 10R. A more specific list of requirements is available
upon request. Interested vendors are requested to provide a description
and photograph (if available) of their proposal to: Commandant, U.S.
Army Infantry School, ATTN: ATSH-CDC, Fort Benning, GA 31905-5400. The

Information submitted will be at no expense to the Government and will
not be returned to the sender. A U.S. Army requirement for the

materialize, depending on industry responses and availability of
technology to meet the requirement. Any proprietary data furnished
should be appropriately marked. No collect calls will be accepted.
Responses are requested not later than 28 Jul 95. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST
FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED SOLELY ON THE BASIS OF A
RESPONSE HERETO OR ANY FOLLOW-UP INFORMATION SUBSEQUENTLY SUBMITTED.
THE ARMY WILL NOT MAKE ANY REIMBURSEMENT FOR ANY COSTS IN CONNECTION
