83 -- LIGHT WEIGHT BOOT POC William Thomas, Jr. (706) 545-6399 (Site Code DABT10) The Directorate of Combat Development, U.S. Army Infantry School, Fort Benning, GA, is seeking prospective sources for an extremely light weight boot as a potential replacement for the current speed lace combat boot (SLCB). General characteristics for the boot are: water resistant, running shoe comfort, durable, low maintenance, easy on and off, flexible, and less than 2 1/2 pounds in weight per pair in size 10R. A more specific list of requirements is available upon request.
