The project includes the construction of two buildings, a 3000 SF inert storage facility, and a 6000 SF maintenance complex, located outside the Weapons Storage Area. The inert storage facility is a pre-engineered metal building. The maintenance complex is a load-bearing reinforced concrrete and concrete masonry building with an exterior insulated finish sytem and standing seam metal roof. A concrete apron is to be poured around the maintenance complex, at the inert storage facility entrance, as well as a new concrete road at vehicle entrance to proposed site. (Portions of an existing concrete road must be demolished and removed before concrete work described above can be performed.) The inert storage facility and maintenance complex is surrounded by a chain link fence and controlled vehicular and pedestrian access. Outside the fence and east of the maintenance complex is a new lighted parking area for 20 vehicles, with a concret sidewalk leading to the maintenance complex.
