Project YTPM 94-0122, Emergency Repair - Alter Receiving Pipeline. Project consists of making modifications to a buried jet fuel transfer pipeline located on U.S. Government property and in U.S. Government easements through private property. The modifications include replacement of elbows with long sweep elbows, replacement of tees with straight pipe, removal of pipeline vents, removal of pump out connection, and the installation of a scrapper trap with associated valves and piping. Joint connections are both welded and flanged. Work includes all preparation and final testing including, but not limited to excavation, inert gas purging, pressure testing and radiographic inspection. Work will require confined space entry. It is reasonable to expect jet fuel contaminated soil will be encountered during execution of this work. The contractor will be required to provide protection for its workers.
