Columbia Cascade Cluster, Seattle System Support Office, is soliciting
bids for the construction of an accessible single story maintenance
facility at John Day Fossil Beds National Monument, Oregon. Work will
include, but is not limited to, general excavation, concrete
foundations, retaining walls and slabs; wood frame construction; metal
roof; doors and wood windows; plumbing and electrical work; mechanical
work; site utility relocation and extension, crushed aggregate access
road and parking for 9 vehicles. The size of the structure will be
approximately 3,570 square feet and will include office space,
lunch/conference room, carpenter shop, vehicle equipment bay, fire
cache, restrooms, fuel storage tank, and storage. No demolition work is
involved. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 1541,
``General Contractors-Industrial Buildings and Warehouses.'' The size
standard is $17.M. The proposed solicitation will be issued in
accordance with Public Law 100-656. (Small Businss Competitiveness
Demonstration Program), open to small and large businesses. A Firm
Fixed-Price single year construction contract will be awarded as a
