Description of work to be performed: Demolish an underground aircraft
refueling pump station and remove three large underground fuel storage
tanks (UST). The pump station was active until this year, and still
contains all pumps and equipment. The USTs are located underneath the
pump house to depths of about 27 feet, in the saturated zone. One UST
has a capacity of 25,000 gallons, and two have capacities of 50,000
gallons. The project also includes the removal of several thousand feet
of piping, two filter pits, two catch basins, six meter pits, and
associated electrical connections. All work on- site is expected to be
completed by 31 December 1995. Range: $500,000 to $1,000,000--FFP--210
